Walmart reaches commercial agreements with 91 local suppliers at the Puerto Rico Open Call event, increasing the purchase and support to local products.
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Walmart Puerto Rico today announced trade agreements with 91 local suppliers for the sale of more than a hundred new products in its stores, significantly increasing its support to different segments of local entrepreneurs: youth, women, farmers, senior citizens and former retirees. This is the result of the Puerto Rico Open Call initiative, in which commercial agreements were signed to sell new locally harvested or manufactured products in Walmart stores. The value of these agreements represents a $3 million increase in Walmart’s annual investment in the purchase of goods from local companies.Add a comment
