SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The Berklee in Puerto Rico program is now receiving applications for its 25th session, which will take place from May 28 to June 2 at Sacred Heart University in Santurce.

The Berklee in Puerto Rico program offers participants access to the Berklee method of music education, which encompasses theory, improvisation, ensemble performance, instrumental instruction, composition and arrangement. Students may also have the opportunity to audition to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston.

“We are very excited about this year’s program because it’s Berklee in Puerto Rico’s 25th anniversary on the island”, said Luis Álvarez, president of Make Music Happen, the organization that produces the program in Puerto Rico. “It’s very important for us that this tradition continues because it provides a valuable educational opportunity to hundreds of music students in Puerto Rico, in addition to having the opportunity to enter Berklee College of Music’s prestigious program.”
